Polski Owczarek Nizinny Retirement & Rescue Center

Purchasing land and constructing a Retirement and Rescue Center

My goal is to receive enough donations so that I can purchase a property and build the adequate buildings and structures to ensure a save heaven for Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. There are unfortunately too many mistreated dogs out there, and all cannot be helped. This breed, is among the oldest of sheepherding dogs. They are at the origine of the Bearded Collie and the Old English Sheepdog.
I am looking forward to finding about 40 acres, close from the Sequoia National Park in California. The temperature and elevation is about perfect for the Retirement & Rescue Center. Snow in the winter and not too hot in the summer. The slopes of the mountains can help me with playing ball with them. There is an average of 3 to 5 Polish Owczarek Nizziny, also called in short form as PON,
which need to be rescued per year. Most of them can be replaced and therefor will only be tremporary placed in a sort of Foster Care with me. After obedience school and veterinary check up, the PON can be placed again with dog lovers. Unfortunately some are too old or others had too much abuse in their younger life and therefor need to be kept in the PON Retirement & Rescue Center.

The NEEDS
At this stage I am trying to get a non-profit organization together, in order to help these dogs out. Once this step is accomplished, I need to get enough donations to buy a property. Several properties of 20 to 40 acres have been located in California, near the Sequoia National Park. The most expensive one being around $ 85,000.00. After that, roads, electric, phone, water and sewage need to be installed. The buildings would all be of dome shape type. These buildings offer the greatest resistance to bad weather, earthquake, tornadoes, storms and are also cheap to cool and heat.

The buildings
The first building will be a 60 foot diameter DOME, which will have temporary housing on the second floor. The main activity will be on the first floor. Training and obedience and kennels. Down the road a grooming shop and a vet will be added. The Center should become self-sufficient in order to survive in case of not receiving enough donations every year. Property and buildings will remain the legal property of the PON Retirement & Rescue Center. Nobody will profit of this except the PONs.
